Global Eco Venture (GEV) is a Nepal-based coffee company since 2021. Established with a mission to work on seed-to-sip to produce a Niche Nepali Specialty Coffee and to provide it to caffeine enthusiasts in Nepal and around the world directly. GEV is run by seven members from different regions of Nepal and has over 15 years of experience in the coffee sector.
Working in the coffee production sector, GEV members have realized the erosion of togetherness of families due to migration of coffee growers in search of a better life for their families. similarly, the coffee end-users also do not understand the reality of coffee growing sites and process and pay more for a single sip of coffee. Lack of labor, skill and knowledge, social gatherings, and environmental crisis brought barriers among single families which is cracking the quality of coffee and increasing unhealthy costs in the entire coffee ecosystem. So, GEV is dedicated to bring HAPPINESS in all dimensions of coffee growers and end-users.
GEV introduces the “Dhim Ri” coffee brand to connect the growers and the end users of coffee. “Dhim Ri” describes “At Home” in Tamang language of the center Himalaya of Nepal- which is a desirable place where families live together harmoniously. Tamang people explain “Happiness” is not only a short moment of enjoyment, but it is also a long-term joy, values to each other, respect, recognition, reciprocity of social order (joy and pain).. Happiness produces niche materials and reproduces human relationships.
So, “Dhim Ri” Coffee draws on the Tamang communities’ belief system which spread around the world by trying to link and generate economic, social, and environment harmonious values and relationships in all individuals and communities via coffee within Nepal and around the world.
